I think La Toya has exhibited far more vocal range and has taken more creative risks than Jan. Janet, for instance, would never release a country album or have the versatility to work with the variety of producers La Toya has in her long career.


Anyway to get back on topic Jan's last solid album in my opinion was The Velvet Rope. Maybe recent events will inspire her to start writing relevant music again instead endless odes to her "favorite fruit".

If La Toya would have had the same vocal coaching, I believe their voices would be quite similar, Janet's no powerhouse either.

I don't hate Jan, I like her. I stand by my opinion that The Velvet Rope was her last solid album. I liked parts of All For You and Discipline .

Now instead of policing my thoughts, why not call out that Janet troll for calling La Toya crap

I don't hate Janet also.Rhythm Nation was a brilliant record.Her best ever!But so La Toya's Heart don't lie or Imagination.I love all the Jacksons.But i think that Janet is little overestimated,She doesn't have something better than Toy.That's my opinion.I have both Janet's and Toy's albums and i can't understand why La Toya was not succesful(especially with her first 5 albums from 1980-88)and Janet was.It's just not fair.
