Church of La Toya

Coming Saturday La Toya will be interviewed on Dutch television by Wendy van Dijk. Now, this will not be any old ordinary interview. Wendy will be disguised as a Japanese interviewer called Ushi, who's English is guaranteed to cause some confusion. Wendy does this pretty convincingly, most celebrities fall for it. It might be offensive to Japanese viewers though. Wendy had nothing but nice things to say about La Toya afterwards (the show is pre-taped). Apparantly La Toya had no problems with being pranked. I wonder how she would have reacted to Wendy's other regular character: a big black lady from the Antilles...
I know 'black face' is a big no-no in America. Here in the Netherlands it's not such a big deal. It's even part of an annual children's holiday, called Sinterklaas (the forerunner of Saint Nick). Google 'zwarte piet' and you'll see what I mean. Warning: it can be pretty shocking for non-Dutch...

Just saw the interview: brilliant! La Toya is so friendly and patient, and a really good sport when the prank is revealed. Jeffrey is featured very prominently, he seems like a really nice guy. The interview itself contains little serious information, except for one thing: La Toya was in love at the time! (it was taped early june). The whole thing will be online shortly, check the links above.

The host was good natured and fairly funny for the most part, but I'm not so sure about putting in buck teeth to play Asian!

But yes the most shocking bit of news is that La Toya is madly in love! WITH WHOM??????
She pointedly refers to Jeffre as her manager, and never looks at him while she's talking about this new love of her life, which doesn't answer anything.

Who is La Toya's mystery love? I know I'm being nosy and I should just be happy that La Toya's happy. But I can't help it I want to know!

Wow! The first thing La Toya said was that she was in love. I wonder who it is? If he is famous?
