Janet Jackson is releasing a book.

The Grammy-winning singer has written an account of her struggles with her weight and self-esteem. The book, due in November from Karen Hunter Publishing, includes lifestyle and diet tips from Jackson’s nutritionist, David Allen.

I don't think so either - and judging by the sales of her recent albums here, she's wise not to tour here since there's no way it would lead to anything but cancellation in most markets.

i saw her in oakland it was amazinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! first time at a concert ever. i had nose bleeds and they turned out be best seats i swear. yall should go see her get em nosebleeds. she is very sick though right now which worrys me. the doctor told her to postpone.

Janet's manager Kenneth Crear has confirmed reports that the reason Janet postponed a series of shows during the past two weeks is because she suffers from vertigo.

Janet Jackson is ready to get this show on the road. For real. Supposedly.

According to her manager, the veteran pop star will be returning to her Rock Witchu tour Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., after being forced to postpone nine shows while she struggled with a previously undisclosed illness.

"After a thorough medical evaluation, it has been confirmed that Janet's symptoms are being caused by a rare form of migraine called vestibular migraine or migraine-associated vertigo for which she is currently receiving treatment," read a statement released by Jackson's camp and obtained by E! News.

The "Together Again" singer has not performed since falling ill Sept. 29 during a sound check before a show in Montreal.

"Janet wanted very much to resume her tour so as not to disappoint her fans, but she continued to suffer from vertigo and could not perform," her manager, Kenneth Crear, said.

"She's a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect. She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again to finish the tour."

Shows scrapped in Montreal, Philadelphia, Boston, Greensboro, N.C., Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Uncasville, Conn., Verona, N.Y., and Manhattan are being rescheduled. Disgruntled ticket holders have been asked to hang onto their stubs, which will be honored at the rescheduled dates.

Reports: Janet to tour Japan next February

Media outlets in Japan are reporting that Janet will bring the Rock Witchu Tour to four cities in Japan for five performances in February 2009.

News website Sponichi Annex and ticket outlet Lawson Ticket are both listing five concerts in Japan for the middle of February.

The reported Japanese dates are:

Feb 14 & 15: Saitama - Saitama Super Arena
Feb 17: Osaka - Osaka-jō Hall
Feb 19: Nagoya - Gaishihoru
Feb 22: Fukuoka - Marine Messe Fukuoka

No offence to Jan, because I love her. But this tour was a flop. The only sold out date was L.A, and that sold out 2 days before the show.

& the Asian leg was cancelled because 'of the credit crunch'.. yeah yeah, whatever: more like the fact it flopped in the U.S and was about to do the same in Japan.

false tour wasent a flop i was at oakland show and it was sold out also i was at the way top of staduim that how full it was. the tour also got high critic remarks for the dates that she actually did do.and for a tour to be scuesscful it dosent have to be sold out at every show iof we truly want to look at it from that angle. now her being sick and canceling shows stoped the usa leg because she was sick for the remaining dates left which is bad on ehr but i guess health more important specially when fans see u throwin up outside venues and ambulance has haul ur ass off. wasent really any dates to being with.and it is a fact that japan is in a recession because of america, our markets are linked.lots of peoplel are not touring because of the recession happing only a few people are tour like britney and beyonce. even mariah didnt tour. let not post false information as if it truly a fact lmao

i went to the show and oakland sign said sold out infront of stadium. so?? anyways watch the concert and have fun and take negativity out of the thread please
